Vandaag is het mijn beurt om de Lotta rok voor te stellen in de
Compagnie M pattern tour! Voor de tweede keer, na de
Charles pants, test ik een patroon voor Marte en dat bevalt me steeds meer. Ik was heel enthousiast dat ik het allereerste damespatroon van Compagnie M heb kunnen testen. Hier had ik op gewacht en mijn rokje was dan ook in een mum van tijd klaar!
Today it's my turn to present the Lotta skirt in the Compagnie M pattern tour! For the second time, after the Charles pants, I'm testing a pattern for Marte and I'm liking it more every time. I was very enthusiastic that I was one of the testers for the very first pattern for women from Compagnie M. This was a moment I've been waiting for, so my skirt was finished in no time!
De stoffenkeuze was eveneens snel gemaakt! Een herfstig stofje van bij
Bellelien, dat ik meteen bij bestelling voor mezelf reserveerde. Het stofje heeft de toepasselijke naam "Gold Bud" en weerspiegelt de kleur van goudgele herfstbladeren. Over de combinatie met het aubergine stofje "Aves chatter" van Art gallery heb ik wel getwijfeld, maar nu ben ik er heel tevreden over. Zo springen die leuke zakjes, mijn favoriete detail van het patroon, mooi in het oog. De voor de hand liggende combinatie met roos of blauw had wel gekund voor een meisjes Lotta rokje denk ik.
The choice of fabrics was also very quickly made! I choose a fall fabric from Bellelien, which I immediately reserved for myself when I placed the order. The fabric had the suitable name "Gold Bud" and it matches the color of golden yellow autumn leaves. The combination with the purple fabric "Aves chatter" from Art gallery was less evident to me, but now I'm very happy with it. The pockets are my favorite detail and now they're a real eye-catcher! The more obvious choice would be the combination with soft pink or blue, but I think that's more appropriate for a girly Lotta skirt.
Zoals we gewoon zijn van Marte zijn de instructies super duidelijk, zodat ook beginnende naaisters met dit patroon zonder problemen aan de slag kunnen. Bij de keuze van de maat kan ik adviseren vooral af te gaan op de lengte van de tailleband, dan past je rokje mooi aan op de gewenste taille of heuphoogte. Er is ook rekening gehouden met de vrouwelijke rondingen, die vragen om minder volume ter hoogte van de heupen. Perfect opgelost door geen rimpels te voorzien ter hoogte van de zakjes.
As always with patterns for Marte's hand, the instructions are super clear, so even a beginning seamstress can make this skirt without any problems. When you choose your size to make this skirt I advise you to take the length of the waistband a the most important parameter, so your shirt will fit at the desired waist or hip height. The female form asks for not too much volume around the hips if you ask me. The perfect solution is that there is no gathering above the pockets.
In deze pattern tour zag ik al mooie
moeder en
dochter versies, nog een leuk idee voor mijn kleine meid. Al vind ik het
herfst Hanami jurkje dat ik voor haar maakte ook mooi passend bij deze outfit. Een foto van mama en dochter samen is er helaas nog niet van gekomen, dat zal voor een volgende herfstwandeling zijn!
In this pattern tour I saw some beautiful mother and daughter versions, another good idea for my little girl. Although recently I made a fall Hanami dress that also matches this outfit I think. Unfortenately I don't have a picture of mother and daughter together, maybe on our next autumn walk!
