When Suz from Sewpony asked for testers for her new Catherine Cardigan, I jumped at the opportunity. There are so many beautiful french terry fabrics in my stash and this cardigan is a lovely alternative for all those plain sweaters.
The Catherine Cardigan has many options: short or long sleeves, with or without pussy bow or short bow. I choose the long sleeves, no bow and I finished the arms and neckline with matching ribbing. This is a test version so keep in mind that the the final pattern was improved, especially the neckline was adjusted.
At the back there's a seperate yoke and gathering. The only matching buttons in my collection were snaps and I'm hoping I won't regret this choice. This fabric from See You at Six is one of my favorites, that I've been saving for a special project.
To complete the outfit I sewed a matching skirt in 2 layers with an elastic waistband. The fabric is a very light and twirly viscose with a subtle blue glitter thread.
